For the third year in a row, Boubyan Bank, in cooperation with the International Islamic Charitable Organization “IICO” and Al-Darayn Voluntary Team, is organized Noor Boubyan III which aims at performing eyesight restoration operations in Uganda and thousands of the visually-impaired are expected to benefit from this campaign.

This campaign is a continuation to the previous two campaigns which successfully contributed to the eyesight restoration of more than 8000 persons, be they kids or adults, who managed to continue normally with their lives after Allah, the Almighty, blessed them again with the restoration of this precious sense.

Noor Boubyan III had succeeded to restored the eyesight for more than 900 patients suffering from the “Cataract” in cooperation with group of Kuwaiti volunteer doctors who participated in this campaign as they contributed with their time and efforts to perform these operations side by side with a group of young Kuwaiti volunteers from the bank staff, the IICO and Al-Darayn Voluntary Team, who stayed in Uganda throughout the campaign to undertake all organizational issues and volunteering activities as number of events and activities engaging various social organizations such as orphanages, homes for the visually impaired and special needs persons.

In Uganda and beside Noor Boubyan III, Boubyan Bank is the first Kuwait establishment to support and sponsor the initiative to feed one billion hungry, launched by International Islamic Charitable Organization with a blessing by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
