The Investment Group selects investment opportunities to provide superb risk-adjusted returns that are all conducted in strict accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia’a.  The Group strives to enhance investors’ ability to capitalize on investment opportunities in an ethical manner that preserves capital whilst simultaneously maximizes returns.

This is achieved through the experience, professionalism and skill of the Investment Group team who provide efficient investment solutions, astute financial advice and solutions that meet the specific requirements of its diverse and ever-growing client-base.

Investment opportunities are originated through one of the following two avenues:

External Business Network:

Viable opportunities are either sourced through or presented by the business network of the Group with other financial institutions internationally.

Internal Development:

The Investment Group internally develops viable business opportunities for direct investment and investment products through market and industrial analysis.  Activities include identifying opportunities and developing business plans, structuring, drafting information memorandums, launching and placement with other investors.

Investment Products:

The Investment Group is responsible for developing asset management products and services which are distributed to Boubyan Bank’s customers so that they can invest in premium investment opportunities locally, regionally and globally.  These include direct investment products, real estate funds and listed equities funds.

Direct Investment:

Investment in equity of private companies and private equity funds with a medium to long term investment horizon. Activities include deal origination within target markets, investment research and valuation, negotiation and due diligence, finance structuring and investment monitoring from start to finish.

International Real Estate:

Investments in international real estate and real estate funds whether income generating or development.  Activities include deal origination within target markets, investment research and valuation, due diligence and negotiations, finance structuring and monitoring of real estate investments from start to finish.

Marketable Securities:

Local and international investment in publicly listed equities.  Activities include equity investment research and valuations, investing decisions and portfolio management from investment to exit.
