Boubyan Bank has announced its financial results for H1 of this year, reporting net profit of KD 54.7 million at a growth rate of 5%, with an earnings per share of 10.95 Fils. The bank’s operating profits has grown by 8% to KD 72.6 million, with its assets reaching KD 10.6 billion at a growth rate of 6% compared with last year. The bank’s financing portfolio has grown by 8% to KD 8.1 billion.
Commenting on the financial results, Boubyan Bank’s Chairman, Mr. Abdulaziz Abdullah Dakheel Al-Shaya, stated: “The bank’s H1 results demonstrate the solid foundations of its business model and its ability to maintain a balanced performance despite the geopolitical developments and economic challenges, which have affected all industries, including the banking industry.”
He added: “These results are the outcome of a prudent management approach that focuses on strengthening the financial position and maintaining disciplined risk-management and robust liquidity and capital levels. They are the result of a long-term strategic vision that strikes a balance between sustained growth and capturing unique opportunities, boosting the bank’s ability to continue to add value for shareholders, customers, partners, employees, and the communities where it operates.”
Al-Shaya explained: “The recent affirmation of the bank’s credit rating by Moody’s with a ‘Stable Outlook’ is a new testament to the bank’s resilient creditworthiness, reflecting confidence in its solid financial position and the high-quality of its assets and efficient risk-management, coupled with flexibility in dealing with economic changes and the bank’s ability to sustain good performance.”
“This good performance has been accompanied by continued momentum for the development of products and services and enhancing customer experience across all channels. The bank achieved several milestones, which culminated in receiving local, regional, and international recognitions in a testament to Boubyan’s position and leadership in innovation, digital banking, and Islamic finance.”, he added.

During H1 of this year, Boubyan continued to support entrepreneurship through its “Empower by Boubyan” initiative. The bank held a number of discussions and mentorship sessions where members of the initiative’s advisory council met with select technology startups participating in the program for exchange of expertise and discussion of challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs.
These sessions were among the key pillars of the initiative, particularly “Guidance and Mentorship”. This reflects the bank’s focus on offering practical support beyond traditional financing solutions, empowering technology startups to enhance their business models and improve their readiness for growth and sustainability. This is done through panel discussions addressing a number of topics associated with growth management, building teams, and decision-taking in evolving business environments and sustained projects.
